Wedding photography at The Carriage Hall Nottingham
Roxanne and Dave asked me to shoot their wedding photography at The Carriage Hall in Nottingham after one of Roxanne’s work colleagues said ‘you must look at Andy’s work’ when hearing she was engaged. I’d shot her colleague’s son’s wedding and that recommendation lead to a lovely chat over Skye and we really clicked, the rest as they say is history. I was really delighted to get to work with them both, travelling down to Nottingham for the wedding was fun and the wedding itself was so so good! It was a super chilled day (Roxi was 7 months pregnant at the time) but had all the best things you could hope for at a wedding, amazing people, a great atmosphere and some really personal touches.
My first time shooting wedding photography at The Carriage Hall ended with quite possibly the coolest first dance ever, Dave is Italian and it’s traditional to tie the couple up during this point of proceedings, this happened with streamers and they fired party poppers over them… it doesn’t get any better than that!
Before all that though Roxanne got ready at home surrounded by her family and friends – special mention to her dad for doing the bacon butty run! They were married at All Saints Church in Loughborough before heading over to the The Carriage Hall and having such a brilliant reception, there was wine from Dave’s family vineyard, an awesome two piece band playing throughout (Brett & Andrew) and wonderful traditions like every time the guests tapped their wine glasses with their cutlery the couple had to kiss (which happened a lot!).
Once the party started there was no stopping them, epic! Roxanne and Dave are fun loving, friendly and so nice to be around. I wish them all the happiness in the world together, and of course with the little one when it comes!!!
