Ellingham Hall wedding photography
What can I say about shooting Ellingham Hall wedding photography (http://www.ellingham-hall.co.uk/)? It’s an amazingly lovely venue, the couple have private use of the place and it’s set in impressive grounds with a peacock roaming about… no wonder this is one of the most loved wedding venues in Northumberland. Of course a wedding isn’t just about the venue though and what really made this one incredibly good was the bride and groom, Sarah and Chris, fun loving, very easy to get on with and above all they know how to throw a party! The evening reception was quite simply brilliant with lots of dancing, a great band that Sarah ended up singing Mustang Sally with and some crazy photos using the sofas in one of the lounges… so much fun!
I have worked at most of the venues in the North East but this was my first time shooting Ellingham Hall Wedding Photography and I hope to be back again soon, the place is nice and quirky but quite traditional at the same time, not an easy mix to get right but they definitely have here. Sarah had her bridal preparation in the Gothic Room which was lovely and had a separate dressing room, and the morning was filled with Kings of Leon songs as they are Sarah’s favourite band – the writing on her bespoke shoes is the title of one of their songs… very cool! The ceremony was really moving and we got some great bride and groom portraits in the grounds after. Sarah isn’t the most confident in front of the camera but she did great on the day, as did Chris and it was fantastic to be out in the sunshine and around the blossom trees in the little orchard area of the walled garden.
The night do was really something else and I’ll not forget it in a long time… everyone was really in the mood for dancing and having fun, this led to a few mad shots where a bunch of guests all did something whacky and different on the red sofa which worked brilliantly! Sarah and a couple of the other guests singing with the band was also great, as were many many things about this wedding.
