Biscuit Factory wedding photography
What a great venue for a couple to use on their big day! There are so many quirky venues popping up around the North East and shooting Biscuit Factory wedding photography (http://www.thebiscuitfactory.com/) for Claire and John’s reception really made me realise that this is definitely one of the best. It didn’t start here though and their ceremony took place at St Charles RC church in Gosforth, just around the corner from where this couple live. I have a rather amusing story about this place but I’ll save that for another day (feel free to ask me if we meet up to chat about your own wedding day).
One of the best things about shooting Biscuit Factory Wedding photography is that it is a VERY cool venue, so even though the weather was pretty atrocious outside it didn’t matter one bit and instead we used the interior to great effect for some fantastic bride and groom portraits, and also some of the groomsmen and bridesmaids. I have visited the venue a few times to look at the art exhibitions as it’s my favourite gallery in the North East, and I actually think it’s just as awesome as a wedding venue. The only down side to this place is the inevitable biscuit based jokes during the speeches, but let’s be honest they had to be done and they were pretty funny truth be told!
Claire and John are a really funny and relaxed couple, and we had great fun on their pre-wed shoot in Newcastle city centre getting some lovely shots in the process. This experience really helped them relax on the day and as a result their Biscuit Factory wedding photography images really stand out and show what a brilliant day it was. There was a lot of emotion during John’s speech and it was really touching to see Claire’s dad get up and give him a little hug, but that’s what the family is like and how they were with me on the day too, very welcoming and kind but with a real sense of fun to boot. Oh and a quick word about the band too… amazing!!! They are called The Maverick Rejects (http://www.themaverickrejects.co.uk/home.html) and really rocked the place with some old skool rock and some modern classics.
