Hannah & Darren | A cool and very intimate Newcastle wedding.
Hannah & Darren had a cool and intimate Newcastle wedding at a very twinkly and romantic As You Like It. Some weddings just have that ‘something’, it’s not always obvious what, just a general vibe, a feeling, a special romantic atmosphere that draws you in and gives you a little tingle down your spine, this was 100% one of them. I met up with Hannah and the girls at Hotel Du Vin in Newcastle to photograph them pre wedding, I knew it was going to be a great day when I found them all in great spirits and having fun getting ready together. There were some lovely little touches like the book Darren made for Hannah about all the reasons he loves her (77 to be exact), and it set the mood for what was to come.
As You Like It is set in Jesmond, so a wedding here is just a stone’s throw from Newcastle’s city centre, and luckily also really close to Jesmond Dene where we took some lovely portraits with the gorgeous autumnal colours adding a huge slice of romance. The ceremony was also super romantic with nervous laughter, lots of smiles and a bridesmaid or two in floods of tears. There were 40 guests at the wedding and it just seemed the perfect amount to make this extremely intimate and personal, I always say that a wedding is about the people and that’s why my style really focuses on that aspect of weddings, and I can honestly say that these people made this wedding amazing! So much love in one room can only equal awesome things.
Hannah & Darren are two wonderfully friendly and cool people, they were up for anything (like standing in the dark for cool night time photos!) and welcomed me in to their day with open arms. Thank you so much guys, I had a wonderful time with you and all your amazing friends and family.
