Mallorca – A little travel photography, R&R and family time

Mallorca travel photography.

Those who know me and follow my work understand that one of my main passions in life outside of wedding photography is hopping on a plane, flying somewhere new and documenting it.  So whilst in Spain for a friends wedding I set about shooting some Mallorca travel photography, oh and of course spending some quality time with my wonderful wife Gaia and awesome little man Leon.

I love travelling, being somewhere new with different light, architecture, people, it really makes me feel creatively inspired.  I’d never been to Mallorca before, I’d heard contrasting things from it being a place of real beauty to the more rowdy side of things in Magaluf, we decided to pick the more sedate base of Port De Soller with its beautiful beach, port, wooden tram and expensive yachts… a good choice as it had a really nice relaxed and up market feel, the perfect place for a family to spend a week!  I didn’t feel this spot alone would really count as Mallorca travel photography though and so we headed in the the mountains and also to Soller and Valldemossa for a little exploration.  I would highly recommend all these places but if you are brave enough to drive up the mountains to Deia (which is not for the faint hearted) there are some amazing views to be seen.

The best part of the trip though was spending time with my amazing little family, it’s important to take some time out every now and then and just appreciate what you have in life, spending time with them, watching my little boy learn and grow, that’s not just the best bit of a trip away, but the best thing in life!  Now to start planning our next journey away…
