Hotel Du Vin wedding photography | Laura & Simon.
When it comes to wedding photography the Hotel Du Vin totally rocks, there’s a huge arched window in the bridal suite which makes for some epic photos and when you have a completely awesome bride like Laura, well great things happen! I met her in the morning and she was in great spirits, enjoying spending time with the girls whilst getting ready and it was a perfect start to the day. From here we headed to a really gorgeous church for the ceremony which had a fair few laugh out loud moments, some more romantic and touching parts and incredible signing, honestly if you ever get the chance to hear Laura sign please do (she sings Opera and is amazing!!!).
We headed to Newcastle’s Quayside on the way back to the Hotel du Vin taking my wedding photography to somewhere it’s never been before… a German food market, how cool! Walking towards the market we passed some buskers who seeing the bride and groom approaching thought ‘quick let’s play something celebratory’, however it turned out the only song of this kind they knew was ‘Happy Birthday to you’, they played it anyway and it was so funny! It’s something Laura and Simon won’t forget for a long time I’m sure.
Once back at the Hotel Du Vin the party atmosphere got in to full swing and everyone had a wonderful time mingling on the terrace, after the speeches (some tears, lots of laughs!) we headed back out for some portraits nearby and then before we knew it the evening had arrived and the first dance was followed by everyone piling on the dance floor and boogying the night away… A great end to a brilliant day!
Simon and Laura are two wonderfully kind, friendly and welcoming people, a huge thanks to them for making my day so pleasurable, fun and just totally awesome!
