Doxford Barns wedding photography
It was a real joy to shoot Fiona & Phil’s Doxford Barns wedding photography, I mean how could it have been anything else when they are such amazingly lovely people. They even invited me for dinner at their house before the wedding, that’s how nice they are!!! For what it’s worth Fiona is an excellent cook, she also bakes a damn good dairy free chocolate brownie too!!!!
If you’ve never been to Doxford Barns before it really is an amazing place, really rustic, extremely private and the perfect place for a super chilled family friendly wedding like Fiona & Phil’s, their ceremony was held in the Threshing Barn which is beyond beautiful, creating such a romantic vibe for their vows, and because these guys are great fun there were plenty of giggles and laughter too! Lucas their gorgeous little boy wanted to get in on the action too which just added to the happy family vibe.
We had a bit of time to pop over to Bamburgh Beach before the meal and with it being such a sunny autumn day we got some fantastic portraits, Fiona and Phil being total stars clambering up the dunes for some shots in the long grass. Then after some hilarious and moving speeches we popped outside in the dark for a sparkler shot, great fun!!! A romantic first dance later and the party ensued with lots of dancing and a great live band.
I was sad to leave but Fiona and Phil gave me a lovely thank you card and bottle of wine before I did, the card said I was welcome over theirs for tea any time… so can anyone confirm how many days a week is acceptable? 😉
Fiona & Phil, honestly what can I say? You made me so welcome on your special day, invited me in to you home and your lives… you guys are amazing people, thank you!
