Best of 2018 – Highlights from an amazing year!
Wow where do I start? Maybe at the beginning? Yes that’s probably the best place! I took a little time off at the start of the year to welcome my daughter Ada in to this world, only that didn’t quite go to plan and I ended up delivering her on the bathroom floor as she came in an almighty rush (read more about that HERE). After recovering a little from that experience I embarked on a journey that involved weddings at my favourite venues like Woodhill Hall and Newton Hall, and a whole host of venues I shot at for the first time such as the amazing Stanton Hall and Gardens, Healey Barn and Low Friarside Farm.
Whilst my year started off somewhat differently to usual (I’ve never delivered a child before!) and I shot at loads of awesome new venues, the one thing that didn’t change was the amazing couples I worked with, every year I feel completely blessed to have such amazing people book me, people who welcome me in to their days, in to their lives and become friends.
The year went by in a real blur, and so only now can I really look back and appreciate everything, all the wonderful couples who gave me huge hugs when I went home, who voted for me in The Wedding Industry Awards (read more HERE), and kept in touch after the wedding, continued to follow my work, and showed amazing support and appreciation for the work that I do… to you guys I wish I could express my gratitude, but words are never enough, but if they were they’d look something like this… Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also a massive shout out to the venues who have continued supported me this year by recommending me to their couples – Woodhill Hall and St Mary’s Heritage Centre, and to Stanton Hall and Gardens and Healey Barn for making me a recommended supplier, I’m excited to shoot more weddings at these amazing venues in the coming year.
You know what? I would talk for hours about 2018, all I’ll say though is this – 2019 you better bring your ‘A game’ because you have one hell of an act to follow!
